👨🍳 Method
-
1
Tie the individual pieces together with kitchen twine into a sturdy bundle.
-
2
This can be hung in the soup or sauce and easily removed without having to fish out the individual pieces.
-
3
When making such a bouquet garni, be careful with strong, dominant flavors such as: sage, rosemary, thyme, savory, marjoram or bay leaf! Never add too much of these.
-
4
These herb bundles can be assembled in the right season and frozen.
-
5
Rinse the whole fresh herbs in still water and pat dry well with paper towels.
-
6
Freeze them separately in a freezer bag.
